The Alan Steele Family

The Alan Steele Family
I love this family of mine

My mother-in-law once asked if I believed that life was just a love story. LOL I have to say I think I took her back a little when I said yes. I explained that as children we are taught to love our neighbors and serve others. We gain friends and feel sad when others do not like us. The commandments talk of love too Love the Lord they God with all they heart, might, mind, and strength. Love they neighbor as thy self. The Savior says "If ye love me keep my commandments."
As we grow many of us learn to love our families more and they find the special someone to share the eternities with. That is another love story. ;) Then we have children of our own and a new chapter of love begins and you learn to love your spouse even more and your child always take your breathe away when you look at them and remember where they came from and you are technically just borrowing them, but they are still yours. You made their physical bodies. Such miracles.
"God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son." http://www.lds.org/bible-videos/videos/for-god-so-loved-the-world?lang=eng
"Love one another as I have loved you." Christ suffered 3 times for our sins 3 times!! He knows exactly what  we are going through if only we will let Him lead us through the darkness. I had a thought about when He said "Father why hast Thou forsaken me." Christ had to know what we feel when we no longer have the spirit with us and how agonizing it is. Christ did everything for love. So yes life is a love story. :)
It was a good day yesterday. I got everything done for school that was due and we did our chores. :) I even got a nap though I am going to try not get anymore regardless of how tired I am. They don't always help. We read from 2 Samuel. It is interesting and sad to see how King David gradually lost his divine right to the Celestial kingdom. A lot of his men were very evil too. He had SO many wives and concubines. I don't understand how the women could just do that. :( Why would Beth-Seba do that to her husband even if he was the king. ARGH! These people are so disrespectful to the women and the women to themselves. :(  It is very sad but we today are the same way. Men and women are disrespectful to each other and think of sex as a recreation. It is NOT!! There was an article about that too. Here is the link: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/zach-j-hoag/smokin-hot-wives-and-wate_b_3158025.html

So much going on right now. I am SO tired because I do not go to bed on time. Dad gum it I am so blasted off track!! I need to get back there. I need the spirit in my life so I help more people and gain more clients!! ARGH!! I am so frustrated. Moroni doesn't always need a nap, but I need some me time. Ok I really need to get on track enough of this slothfulness. Grr! I need to be grateful for what I have. Gots to get done with homework too.

Reading scriptures this morning 2 Nephi 10:6-8; it discusses the scattering of Israel. Elder Bruce R. McConkie Clarifies that the reason Israel was scattered was because they rejected and defiled the ways and commandments of the Lord. They rejected the Jehovah or Christ the Messiah. The gathering is the spiritual life and repentance of the people. This was found in the Book of Mormon institute manual.
Elder Russell M Nelson states the Book of Mormon is the Lords way of manifesting the time for the gathering of Israel and that we participate in it on earth and through the veil. I definitely need to go to the Temple. We missed it this month and feel the change. The gathering places are in the countries where the people live. Mexican people in Mexico. The Brazilian People in Brazil and so on.
2 Nephi 10:20-22 is Jocab confirming there are other colonies out there that have been led to different lands for example, the Jaredites (book of Ether), Lehi's, and the Mulekites (Mosiah 25:2Helaman 6:108:21) from the Book of Mormon and the lost Northern tribes of Israel, but Heavenly Father and Christ know where they are. :) I love the Jocab still refers to them as Brethren.

Points to Ponder

  • In what ways can you help in the gathering of the Lord’s people?
  • I can go to the temple often and do baptisms, sealings, endowments, and initiatory work. I can live righteously so that I can open my mouth and speak with the spirit to touch peoples hearts.
  • Why is it important to realize that Jesus Christ’s atoning sacrifice applies to you as an individual? What can you do to deepen your understanding of the Lord’s Atonement?
  • By knowing that how the Atonement applies to me as an individual will help me to better myself and become more like him and know we are not alone in our trials. I can get through trials without grumbling and know they are for my good and will help me to become a better person.
  • I will deepen my understanding by continuing my scripture study and praying everyday asking for guidance and exercising forgiveness of others.
  • How can you know if your life is pleasing to the Lord?
  • If you can feel the spirit in your home. If you can see the gifts He has given you. If you are happen and give thanks for what you have. If you are following the commandments. If you are happy in the Gospel and knowledge of the truth. We can feel it in our hearts that He is pleased with us. The trick is to recognize that He may be happy with us but as humans we may not feel it because we are trying to do more to be better, but this is pleasing to the Lord too.
  • Why do you think the Atonement needed to be infinite?
  • If it wasn't not all of us would be saved. Not all of us would have the opportunities gain our godhood. Not all of would be forgiven of our sins and that is not the purpose of the Lord. He wants all of us to return to him. He loves us and has given us a way to get back there to Him again if we would just listen learn and do the things He would have us do.
It has been a long time. We have Hannah now. She's almost 1 years old and Moroni is almost 3. Hannah likes to make noises with your lips like a fishy face with a kissing sound. :) Moroni likes his little sister. He likes playing with her but wishes she was a little bigger to do other things with her. :) Moroni has a little attitude problem, but I am stopping school to hopefully change that. Hannah barks for the dogs. I am working on recording it so we can save it.
We are trying to organize ourselves like the scripture Doctrine and Covenants 109:8
Organize yourselves; prepare every needful thing, and establish a house, even a house of prayer, a house of fasting, a house of faith, a house of learning, a house of glory, a house of order, a house of God;
We have made a chore chart to follow and have set up rewards if we complete our tasks. I still have a few things I need to do like make sticker chart for Moroni. :) I also need to make a little list stating what our morning schedule and evening schedule will be like.
I am going to start working with Moroni on his numbers and letters. I have made a list of activities too that we can do and I think he would enjoy.
We have become involved with 3 companies: Lifevantage, Isagenix, and Primerica. Protandim through Life vantage has help us regain our life back in a sense. Isagenix has helped us regain our health and fitness. Primerica is helping us gain our financial stability. We are also looking to supplement our income with these and help others gain what we have and more. :)
Alan is working towards a degree in wind energy and will graduate with his CCAF in May. :) SO proud of him. We have be truly blessed by our Father in Heaven. We would not be where we are today without Him.   We are so grateful for our home and the time we have as a family. I love watching my children grow and learn. Love Hannah's little teefer smiles and her giggle.:) I love Moroni's laugh and how he looks out for sister. I love how Alan take care of us all. I love nap time. LOL
Hannah is SO different from Moroni. She sits and does things so daintily and Moroni just crashes into things. She is very careful where as Moroni has no cares really. She complains about her brother already and he tries to protect her in some ways. both have these brilliant blue eyes that capture everyone's attention. Moroni is so out going and Hannah is so shy. Moroni really adjust quite quickly to change but Hannah takes a while. Moroni is my little shortie where Hannah is long and willowy. Hannah bends her feet in and doesnt really like to do things by herself like eating where Moroni many times does. I am learning we need lots and lots of hugs. I was reading some articles on parenthood and one was saying children need at least 12 hugs day. :) We are still working on it.
I will be going to Arizona in June to August and to PSI seven or a personal growth seminar. We want to better ourselves and be better people to fulfill our goals and dreams. I am hoping to earn 5000 a month this year and support my husband when he gets out of the military. Alan and I are trying to establish a ranch that helps underserved youth to gain the appropriate respect they deserve in society and to know there are better ways to live life and be grateful for what they have. It will teach them the value of work and help them become self sufficient.
We struggle with everything and to make changes to our lives that healthy and wholesome. We want to read the scriptures through out the day but it seems a struggle to complete everything we need to during the day. We know if we do as the Lord wants us to do and follow the commandments to the best of our ability we will reach the goals that we have set that are in line with His teachings. The trick is to get the goals in line with his teachings. :)
Last week of class so I better get on it. I am thinking about making another blog for scripture study. I like what Jen Rogers has and does. It would again mean finding time, but I think it would be worth it. We will see.
